Volume is how many shares changed hands in the session (or the window the feed reports). It is activity, not quality.

Formula (simple)

Volume ≈ sum of shares traded in the reported session window. Turnover (when shown) ≈ roughly price × volume in PKR - definitions can vary by feed.

Traps (tip culture)

Busy trading does not mean safe. Quiet trading can make the price look odd. Tip groups that shout “volume explosion = tip” skip books and filings.
